Sugaring is an ancient form of hair removal. It is a mixture of sugar, water, and lemon juice melted to make a paste. It is a highly effective way to. unwanted body hair quickly and leaves your skin silky smooth. Sugaring hair removal dates back to 300BC in ancient Egypt. Ancient Egyptians believed that all body hair was unclean and remover all their body hair regularly. It has since been on of the most common hair removal methods of choice for most of the Middle East throughout the ages.
Sugar removes the hair from the root, whereas wax removes the hair from the skin surface, often breaking the hair beneath the skin surface. This can lead to an increased chance of ingrown hairs. Sugar doesn’t adhere to the skin and is resin free.

If your doctor gives you the green light, just remember to tell your sugaring technician so they can tailor your treatment, if necessary.
It’s best to remove any genital jewelry before your appointment so that it doesn’t interfere with the sugaring process. If you can’t remove your jewelry, tell your technician. They’ll likely be able to work around it — just know that there might be a few stray hairs where they’re unable to apply the paste.
It’s best to not sugar any sunburned areas and to wait a week or so for the sunburn to heal completely before sugaring... The exfoliation can irritate the burn.
